FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is chiropractic?
Answer: Chiropractic is a primary contact health care profession emphasizing differential diagnosis, patient-centred care and research, with expert knowledge in spine and musculoskeletal health. Chiropractors assess disorders related to the spine, nervous system, and joints of the extremities and provide a diagnosis and treatment of these disorders.
Chiropractors help with low back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, rib pain, whiplash, strains/sprains, sports & work injuries, general well-being and maintenance.
What is a chiropractic adjustment?
Answer: An adjustment is a highly skilled and precise movement usually applied by hand to a joint of the body. Adjustment loosens the joint to restore proper movement and optimize function. When a joint is adjusted, a gas bubble escapes causing the popping noise you may have heard about.
Once I start chiropractic care, will I have to go forever?
Answer: Absolutely not. Many chiropractors believe in a corrective approach, but can shift to preventative care depending on the patient and their needs. We correct the issue the patient has, and use the same approach as dentists, where patients are seen for maintenance to keep any problems from progressing and keep the body happy and healthy.
